Exterior of St Margaret's Anglican Church in Nedlands

As the Anglican Parish of Nedlands we consider our emphasis to be shown in the title we have chosen:

The St Margaret Centre
linking church and community

The Church of St Margaret was built in 1937 on the corner of Elizabeth and Tyrell Streets. Since that time it has been a major part of the local community.

Though not a large parish numerically we delight in welcoming newcomers and acknowledge they bring a new spirit of community through their involvement with St Margaret’s.

We have three Groups which aim to encourage growth and a sense of belonging: the Out There Group (which meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month for morning tea at Martineau's Patisserie in the Captain Stirling Arcade, from 10am to 11.30am; cost $5); the Evening Group (which meets on the third Sunday of the month in the Purser Room at 5pm, for discussion on a topic of choice followed by a "bring and share" meal); and the Occasional Group (which meets irregularly on Friday mornings to discuss a set theme).

The Church has excellent acoustics and community groups take advantage of this for musical presentations.

The concept of the St Margaret Centre is completed through the associated facilities. The hall, with adjacent kitchen, and meeting rooms are available for use by community groups.

Please contact the Parish Office for further details.

The courtyard is an integral part of the Centre. It offers a sense of peace and is used as an additional area for worship as well as fellowship.
